I
built this frame from David Zimmerly's book, "Hooper Bay Kayak Construction"
which was written in 1979 and reprinted in 2000, ISBN
0-660-17511-8 and can be ordered
from his web site
http://www.arctickayaks.com/. It
is a big, burly frame and very pretty.
When I finished it, I liked the way it looked
so much that I hung it in my yard. I may cover
it someday, but for now, it is yard
art.
This is the finished frame. The book details the step by step construction,
starting
with
making the tools and beachcombing for materials.
