This is the finished kayak, all 21' of it. These kayaks often made long crossings, sometimes
rafted together during storms or to rest. It is a very nice paddling kayak.

The cockpit floats, like a baidarka, but is very big and easy to get in and out of.
The ribs were carved round and fit into holes drilled in the gunnels. The kayak
is big and beefy and will carry a large load.
